“Flatland Plane” Levitator Set

This deluxe version of our standard diamagnetic graphite-levitating units can suspend a large number of  “characters” (each made of playfully-decorated pyrolytic graphite) above an oversized “Halbach array” of 100 powerful Neodymium magnets arranged in a specific alternating-polarity matrix.  Housed in a custom handmade wood and leather case, this limited edition model is fashioned after a famous 1884 book featuring geometric people living in a two-dimensional world (and meant to satirize Victorian England).  This uniquely beautiful work of science-art is 3-1/4″ wide & 1″ tall, and includes 14 graphite floaters in a hand-carved storage box.
